This is a two-day open event that allows gymnasts and acrobats of all ages and ability an opportunity to perform and gain valuable competition experience in a relaxed and friendly environment.

FLOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS
Saturday 27th April 2024

The first day of the championships is an individual event, competed on a 12 metre x 2 metre floor area.
Gymnasts will compete in the following school age group categories:
Reception/ Year 1 & 2/ Year 3 & 4/ Year 5 & 6/ Year 7 & 8/ Year 9+ ​

Gymnasts compete without music in one our 'set' levels:

There is also a disability section for each level at each age group

Medals will be awarded in each section.
If there is a low entry in certain age groups then some sections may be combined.
Clubs from the North Region must be registered with the North of England Gymnastics Association & all clubs must be registered with British Gymnastics to take part in the competition.

ACROBATICS CHAMPIONSHIPS

The second day of our Championships is all about Acrobatics!
NOVICE
Gymnasts will compete in the following school age group categories:
Under 11 years (primary school) – Women’s, Men’s, Mixed, Groups
Over 11 years (secondary school) – Women’s, Men’s, Mixed, Groups
The age of the partnership will be dictated by the oldest member of the pair. For example, a 9 year old competing with a 12 year old will compete in the Over 11 category.
Each partnership must perform ANY 3 partner elements and ANY 3 Individual elements from level 1-3 of the NDP 10
The routine will NOT be performed to music and will be completed on a 12x4 metre strip.
The routine should show a start and finish position and can show choreographic links between elements.
The routine will last no longer than 90 seconds.
Gymnasts may use varying difficulty dependant on the performers ability, but extra credit will not be given for difficulty.
NDP
Gymnasts can compete in any of the NDP levels.
Partnerships competing at grade and 5 and IDP can compete either 1 or 2 routines – the highest scoring routine will count for ranking purposes.
There are no age restrictions, but all other NDP regulations apply.
All tariff sheets should be emailed no later than 1 week prior to the competition.
F.I.G
Gymnasts can compete at any F.I.G level from 11-16 – Senior.
Partnerships may perform one or two routines. Please indicate on the entry form which they will be doing. The highest score will be the counting score for purposes of ranking.
There are no age restrictions but all other F.I.G rules apply (2022- 2024).
Tariff sheets should be emailed no later than 1 week before the competition.
